Photography and film for architecture and design.
Winner & Mash works on location with architects, interior designers, developers, retail and hospitality designers, shopfitters and design-led businesses in Johannesburg and across South Africa.
Architectural Photography
Considered architectural photography focused on form, proportion, context and the relationship between a building and its surroundings. Coverage can include establishing views, transitions, façades and the details that express the architect’s intent, with images prepared for portfolios, websites, publications, award entries and project communication.
Interior Photography
Interior photography that balances complete spatial views with the materials, lighting, furniture, joinery and craftsmanship that give a space its character. The approach is attentive to natural and shaped light, composition, colour and atmosphere while remaining honest to the finished design.
Retail & Hospitality
Photography for retail, restaurants, hotels and other experience-led environments. Images can communicate the overall design, brand details and the way a space works in use, giving designers, shopfitters and operators a coherent set of visual assets for project portfolios and commercial communication.
People & Environmental Portraits
Natural portraits of architects, designers, makers and business owners within the places connected to their work. People may also appear interacting with designed environments to bring scale, use and human presence to an architectural story without turning the project into a conventional portrait shoot.
Film
Architectural films and concise project stories for websites, presentations and social platforms. Film reveals movement through a space, changes in light, material details and the way people experience the finished environment, extending a photographic commission into a more complete account of the project.
